Peevy Named Assistant Principal at MES

Brittany Peevy has been approved as the new assistant principal at Maysville Elementary School following a Board of Education work session on Thursday night. Peevy is currently the instructional coach at North Jackson Elementary School, and will begin her new duties at MES this summer.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Peevy to Maysville Elementary School!” MES Principal Dr. Katie Warwick said. “She has already made a positive impact in Jackson County with the amazing work she’s done at North Jackson Elementary and across the district. We know she will be a wonderful addition to our school family, supporting our students and staff every step of the way."
Peevy, who was named the Support Person of the Year at NJES in August, served as a fifth grade teacher in Jefferson prior to leaving and joining North Jackson Elementary to start the 2024-25 school year. Peevy has also served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, professional learning specialist and assistant principal in Hall County.
"I am excited to join the team at Maysville as Assistant Principal," Peevy said. "Their strong sense of community resonates with me. I look forward to using my experience to support students and staff. Go Eagles!"
Peevy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia and a Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University.
Peevy and her husband, Chris, have three sons - Abe, Eli and Nash.
