Meet Your Counselor

Dear Families,

 

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself! My name is Emma Brown and I am the PK-5 Elementary School Counselor. I am so excited to be part of the Maysville Elementary family; already it is so apparent how close-knit and welcoming the Maysville community is. I feel very lucky to be a part of it!

 

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. I look forward to offering support to the Maysville students, staff, families, and the community. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, conducting classroom counseling lessons (including the Safer Smarter Schools curriculum, The 7 Mindsets and behaviors, and the Energy Bus), meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Maysville Elementary students.
